Our History
Monica has worked for many years as a mediator and coach, with many of her clients coming from the creative industries, particularly film and music. Through her work with these clients she has developed a thorough understanding of the stresses, dilemmas and strains presented by the nature of their work. In addition to her mediation and coaching work she has a thriving psychotherapy practice. She has mediated many disputes in these industries and has coached and still coaches a large number of clients who work in the media.
Mirjam is a lawyer and has worked as a senior business & legal affairs executive in the music industry for more than 20 years, most recently (from 2005 to 2013) as Vice President Business & Legal Affairs at Sony Music’s International HQ in London. In 2014 Mirjam became an independent business & legal affairs consultant and trained as a mediator and her approach to resolving conflict is underpinned by her knowledge and experience built up over the last 2 decades, having witnessed first hand the major changes the creative industries have gone through and the current difficulties and challenges both companies and individuals are facing. In addition to her consultancy and mediation work, Mirjam works for Lawyers on Demand.
Both Monica and Mirjam hold a strong belief that creative people seek creative solutions and can bring innovative thinking to addressing conflict within the framework of a mediation or coaching relationship.
